"Ford Fusion" / The Syndicate / digital set design / matte painting: 3 week commercial where we needed to morph an old city into a new one for a car commercial. We worked “in reverse”: paint the new city first over the old city plates at double rez (3-4k) overscanned, and THEN model the new buildings to match the plates. We camera projected the paintings on the new buildings and then the TD’s created a simple transition effect. / Vlad Bina 2005.
